Configuring SNMP 333
The event menu includes the following options:
/cfg/sys/adm/snmp/event
followed by:
addmonitor [ <options> ] -b
<name> <OID> <op> <value>
Adds a boolean monitor and trigger as
defined in the DISMAN-EVENT-MIB.
Valid <options> are:
-c <comment>—adds a comment
-f <frequency>—the sampling
interval, in seconds. The default is 600
(10 minutes).
-o <OID>—additional objects to send
in the event
-e <EventName>—the name of a
notification event
-d <OID>—the delta discontinuity OID
-D timeTicks|timeStamp|dateAnd
Time—the delta discontinuity type
Other parameters are:
name—a unique name you assign to
the monitor, for identification
OID—the object identifier (or symbolic
name) to monitor
op—the operator. Valid options are:
!= (not equals), == (equals), <= (less
than or equal to), >= (greater than or
equal to), < (less than), > (greater than)
value—an integer indicating the value
against which the operation will be
performed
