3.3.8 Confirming Network Connection
The Ping function allows you to check if each device on the WAN (Internet) side or LAN (Home) side
is connected to this product on a TCP/IP network. When a device is connected successfully, Success!
is displayed.
Notes
• Even if the website can be accessed, sometimes it cannot respond to the Ping.
• When the host name cannot be found in the DNS, "XXX is not found" is displayed.
• An IPv6 address cannot be entered.
1. Click [Ping] on the setup page.
2. Enter the IP address (e.g. "192.168.0.1") or
host name of the device you would like to
check.
• Click [Cancel] to return the IP address or
host name fields to a blank field.
3. Click [Ping].
• When a device is connected successfully,
the window on the right is displayed.
• When there is no response from the
specified IP address, the window on the
right is displayed.
