2.7 Turning AUTO
ANSWER ON/OFF
You can change the way to use your fax machine
by pressing {AUTO ANSWER} repeatedly.
When AUTO ANSWER is turned OFF for the
line, the receiving mode for that line is set to TEL
mode (page 58). You have to answer all calls
manually.
When AUTO ANSWER is turned ON for the
line, the receiving mode selected for that line in
feature #77* or feature #77# will be activated.
1 Press {MENU}.
2 Press {#}, then {7}{7}.
3 Press {*} or {#} to select the desired line.
{*} “LINE1”
{#} “LINE2”
4 Press {1} to {3} to select the desired
receiving mode.
{1} “TAM/FAX” (default): Telephone
Answering Machine/Fax mode (page 59).
{2} “FAX ONLY”: Fax only mode (page 60).
{3} “TAM ONLY”: Telephone Answering
Machine only mode (page 61).
5 Press {SET}.
6 Press {MENU}.
