Description
TCP/UDP Ports
Shows the default TCP/ UDP port range. The user can set
the start port number here, and the end port number will be
calculated automatically.
3 Click Update and a dialog box will pop up, in which you should confirm
to restart the system to apply the setting.
Security Policy
Polycom® RSS™ 4000 system provides detailed security policy settings. You
can define login times, password validity period, complexity of password
settingmaximum visiting duration and so on to ensure the security of Web
management.
To set security policy:
1 Click System Config>Security Setting>Security Policy in the menu bar
at the top of the page.
2 Configure the following parameters on the Security Policy page:

Management
Inactive Time for
Locking Account
Sets a validity period for a user account that
is not used for a long time. If the user keeps
his/her account unlogged for the time set, the
account status will turn to Inactive and
cannot be used to log in to the system until
the administrator enters User>Users page
and changes the status to Active.
Failed Login Lockout
Threshold
Specifies times of failed login; it is used in
combination with the following two options. If
the times of successive failed login reaches
the value within the time set in the Failed
Login Lockout Window item, the system will
lock the account and keep the status for the
time set in the Failed Login Locked Duration
item. While locked, the account status shows
as Locked
, which means that the user cannot
log in until administrator enters the
User>Users page and changes the status to
Active.

Specifies the time within which the times of
failed login is calculated.
Failed Login Locked
Duration
Specifies the duration of the locked status of
the account. If you select Indefinite Lockout
option, the account will be locked indefinitely,
and it cannot be used to log in until the
administrator enters the User>Users page to
change the status to Active.
Session
Management
Session IDLE
Timeout
Specifies the idle time of the system. If you
do not perform any operation for the time set
here, you automatically exit the system and
need to re-log in. The maximum time can set
to be 60 minutes.
