stop bits The signal which indicates the end of a character or element.
toner A fine, negatively-charged, black, powdery substance used to
develop an image.
toner cartridge Contains the toner (ink) that will be used to make marks on the
paper.
transfer corona The transfer corona causes the developed image to be attracted
away from the photo-conductor belt and placed onto the surface
of the paper.
twinax Twinaxial. A type of cable with two wires surrounded by insulation
and a braided shield.
write To place data in memory (RAM, NVRAM) or in mass storage
(hard disk, floppy diskette, etc.).
