3–42 Configuring the Printer
The printer completes each print job by fusing the toner on the last page and
advancing the last page to exit the printer. To print the next job, the printer must
retract the paper from outside the printer to prevent white space (blank pages)
from occurring between printed pages. This is the normal printing mode (default).
Some types of media can snag when retracted into the printer.
NOTE: Set the No Retract Mode to Enable to prevent paper from retracting
into the printer.
Ignore Errors
If Enabled, the printer will ignore minor paper motion errors when they occur
while printing. Paper jams and critical errors will continue to be reported. If
disabled, the printer will report all errors when they occur.
Check TOF Lever
Default is Disabled. In this mode, the printer will signal the user to check the TOF
lever. If enabled, the printer will not signal the user to check the TOF lever.
NOTE: Set to Enable if False “09 Check TOF Lever” error messages occur
while printing.
Paper Control Error
Default is Enabled. In this mode paper control errors will not be reported by the
printer. If Disabled, paper control errors will be reported by the printer.
NOTE: Set to Disable if paper jams occur in the fuser area but are not
detected and reported.
