Registering a Protection Code
You can stop sender's names or fold-
ers being accessed by setting a protec-
tion code.
You can use this function to protect
the following:
• Folders
You can prevent unauthorized ac-
cess to folders.
• Sender's names (when sending e-
mail)
You can prevent misuse of sender's
names.
Registering a Protection Code
for a Name in the Address
Book

To use the registered name as
the destination or sender
A Press [Destination] or [Sender]
under Use Name as.

To set the protection code
A Press [Change] under Protection
Code.
B Enter a protection code using
the number keys, and then
press [

].
Note
❒ You can enter up to eight
digits.
To specify the object of protection
A Press [Folder Destination] or
[
Sender
] under Protection Ob-
ject.
Note
❒ Both [Folder Destination] and
[Sender] can be selected at the
same time.
