Using a KVM Switch
KVM Switch Features
Enable KVM switch features by selecting a KVM switch type in the device list of the
KVM Switch tab of the Settings menu. Then save the switch settings to the
UltraLink by selecting OK at the bottom of the Settings dialog.
Using an UltraLink with a KVM switch enables the following features:
•
Remote computer select
•
Quad-screen
•
Switch file import and export
Remote Computer Select
When you enable KVM switch features, a remote computer select box appears on the
toolbar after login. Selecting a name in the remote computer select box immediately
connects your keyboard, mouse, and video to that computer’s port on the switch. The
Viewer saves the name you select in the remote computer select list and displays it
the next time you login.

If you select a remote computer at a different screen resolution than one you are
viewing, the screen resolution description on the status bar updates.
