11.3.3. Crimp Terminals
If suitable terminal connection points are available on the vehicle for power connection then the
use of crimp terminals is encouraged:
When using crimp terminals, do not leave bare wire exposed.
Do not use crimp terminals for more than one wire unless it is designed for this.
11.4. Mounting
The DART modem should be
secured in all installations to
prevent movement and possible
damage to, or loss of,
connections. Any orientation is
acceptable but laying flat with
the case screws on the bottom is
recommended. An optional
mounting bracket is available
from Sierra Wireless. Refer to
Figure 11-1 for instructions for
installing the DART 300 with
the optional mounting bracket
(part number 6000055).
