Expanding Your
Printing System
Customizing your printer
Tektronix offers upgrade and accessory kits to expand your printer’s
capabilities. To order upgrade kits, refer to the supplies information sheet
that was shipped with the printer and contact your local dealer or Tektronix
office. In the United States, call Tektronix at 1-800-835-6100.
Extended features upgrade
In its standard configuration, the Phaser 340 offers 300 dpi color printing,
8 Mbytes of RAM memory, and 17 fonts. The Phaser 340 optionally supports
600 x 300 dpi resolution printing, 24 Mbytes of memory and 69 fonts. To
upgrade your printer, order the Phaser 340 extended features upgrade kit.
The extended features upgrade consists of a replacement ROM and
additional memory, both of which are required. To determine if your printer
has the extended features, check for the number of fonts listed on the
printer’s startup page. If you only have 17 fonts available, the printer does
not have the extended feature set.
To order the upgrade, obtain the printer’s serial number listed on the
printer’s rear panel and use the table below to determine the appropriate
ordering information.
