14. Peripheral
Use this option to select the peripheral's mode.
(a) Internal Pointing Device
This option enables or disables the touch pad
Enabled Enables the touch pad. (Default)
Disabled Disables the touch pad.
(b) Ext Keyboard "Fn"
This option enables or disables Fn key function on the external keyboard.
Enabled Enables the feature.
Disabled Disables the feature. (Default)
When “Enabled” is selected, the following sub-window appears.
Ext Keyboard "Fn" key equivalent
= Left Ctrl + Left Alt
KEYBOARD
Use this option to set a key combination on an external keyboard to emulate
the Fn key on the computer's internal keyboard. Setting a Fn key equivalent
will enable you to use “Hotkeys” by pressing the set combination in place of
the Fn key. The following items can be selected for this option:
= Left Ctrl + Left Alt (*1)
= Right Ctrl + Right Alt (*2)
= Left Alt + Left Shift
= Right Alt + Right Shift
= Left Alt + Caps Lock
NOTE: If these selections ((*1) or (*2)) are made, you cannot warm boot the
system by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del.
(c) Parallel Port Mode
Use this option to set information of Parallel Port Mode.
ECP Sets the port mode to Extended Capabilities Port (ECP).
For most printers, the port should be set to ECP. (Default)
Std. Bi-Direct. Sets the bi-directional setting. This setting should be used
with some other parallel devices.
