Power Up Sequence
Power Up Sequence
Introduction One of two processes occur when you power up the Vanguard 6435/6455:
The Vanguard 6435/6455 coldloads the operating software (Applications
Ware) and then initiates a node boot.
The Vanguard 6435/6455 initiates a node boot using previously loaded
operating software (Applications Ware).
During the software loading and boot process, a series of messages appear on the
front panel display. These message sequences are described below. If something
other than these messages appear, or if the message ERR: Bad FLASH appears, a
problem has been encountered.
For a description of all the front panel messages, refer to the “Front Panel Display
Messages” section on page 4-6.
Coldloading the
Software
This table shows the sequence of LCD messages that appear when a Vanguard
6435/6455 is coldloading the software:
Note
If the Vanguard 6435/6455 unexpectedly stops loading, it does not lock up.
Instead, it restarts the load cycle from the beginning.
