Theory of Operation The 24-Port module incorporates repeaters and twisted pair transceivers
in its hardware. Transceivers receive and restore amplitude to incoming
signals. A repeater restores phase and frequency. Repeated signals
synchronize to the system clock and enter on the CoreBuilder 5000
hub's backplane. Outgoing signals from the backplane are sent directly
to transceivers to be transmitted to twisted pair link segments.
