After studying each department’s needs, Smith decides to:
create separate workgroups for each department within the two
organizations
connect the workgroups to each other through an internal bridge
Table 2-3
provides an in-depth examination of the reorganization of
each department.
As Tab le 2 -3 indicates, Smith has divided six organizations within her
company into separate workgroups (WG1 to WG6). This enables the
workgroups to access shared resources and communicate with each
other without using the hub’s backplane. Figure 2-4
provides a
detailed example of each workgroup configuration.
