Using the
CoreBuilder 5000
Controller Module
to Verify LED
Operation
The CoreBuilder 5000 hub's controller module is equipped with an LED
Test button on the front panel. The LED Test button is used to verify
LED operation. When you press this button, the module initiates a test
to all modules in the hub. All LEDs should respond by lighting
continuously for approximately five seconds. Any LED that does not
light is defective. This test will not disrupt network operation.
Table 3-3 Interpretation of the 24-Port Module LEDs

Module Status green Off No power.
Blinking Module failed self diagnostics.
On Module powered up OK.
Activity
(Ports 1-24)
yellow Off No packets are received on the ports.
On Constant activity on port.
Blinking Normal activity on the port.
Status
(Ports 1-24)
green On Port enabled and links OK or Link
Integrity disabled.
1 blink Link failure on the port.
2 blinks Port partitioned.
Off Port disabled.
