Procedures
To view oers to lend you eBooks:
1 On the Home menu, tap the daily.
2 View the notifications. Among them, you might see an oer to lend you an eBook.
To accept a lending oer from The Daily:
1 On the Home menu, tap the daily.
2 In The Daily, navigate to the lending oer in the section FROM A FRIEND and tap Select.
3 Tap Yes, Borrow this. Your NOOK displays a pop-up message that tells you the eBook has been
delivered to your online digital library and downloaded to your NOOK.
To accept a lending oer from your library:
1 On the Home menu, tap my library.
2 If you are viewing My Documents, tap Go to My B&N Library.
3 Navigate to the eBook. It will have next to it. Tap Select.
4 Tap Yes, Borrow this.
5 Your NOOK downloads the eBook. After it finishes, tap Read.
To decline a lending oer:
1 In The Daily, navigate to the lending oer and tap Select.
2 Tap No, Thank You.
To read a borrowed eBook:
You read a borrowed eBook just as you read any other eBook. To resume reading, tap reading now
on the Home menu. To pick something to read in your library:
1 On the Home menu, choose my library.
2 If you are viewing My Documents, tap Go to My B&N Library.
3 Navigate to what you want to read. Details about choosing something to read are in “Organizing
Your Library” on page 95.
4 Tap Select. If the item has already been downloaded, it opens in the Reader. If it has not been
downloaded, tap Download. After the item downloads, tap Read.
