TheDomainNameSystem(DNS)ishow
the Internet translates domain or website names into
InternetaddressesorURLs.YourISPwillprovideyouwith
atleastoneDNSserverIPaddress.If,however,youwishto
use a different DNS server, enter itsIP address (you can
enter up to three DNS server IP addresses). The static
DNSserver(s)willhavehigherprioritythantheISP’sDNS
ser vers.TheValetwillassignthestaticDNSserver(s)tothe
computersandotherdevicesinyourlocalnetwork
.
WINS The Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS)
manageseachcomputer’sinteractionwiththeInternet.
IfyouuseaWINSserver,enteritsIPAddress.Otherwise,
leavethisfieldblank.
TimeSettings
Time Zone Select your network’s time zone from this
drop-downmenu.
Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving
changes Select this option to have the Router
automaticallyadjustfordaylightsavingtime.

feature. DDNSlets you assign afixed hostand domain
nametoadynamicInternetIPaddress.Itisusefulwhen
youarehostingyourownwebsite,FileTransferProtocol
(FTP)ser ver,orotherserverbehindtheValet.
Before you can use this feature, you need to sign
up for DDNS service with a DDNS service provider,
www.dyndns.orgorwww.TZO.com.Ifyoudonotwant
tousethisfeature,keepthedefaultsetting,Disabled.

If your DDNS service is provided by DynDNS.org, then
select DynDNS.org from the drop-down menu. If your
DDNSser viceisprovidedbyTZO,thenselectTZO.com.
The features available on the DDNS screen will vary,
dependingonwhichDDNSserviceprovideryouuse.

Setup>DDNS>DynDNS
Username EntertheusernameforyourDDNSaccount.
Password EnterthepasswordforyourDDNSaccount.
Host Name TheDDNSURLassignedbytheDDNSservice
isdisplayed.
System Select the DynDNS service you use: Dynamic,
Static,orCustom.ThedefaultselectionisDynamic.
Mail Exchange (Optional) Entertheaddressofyourmail
exchangeserver,soe-mailstoyourDynDNSaddressgoto
yourmailserver.
Backup MX ThisoptionallowstheMaileXchange(MX)
server tobe abackup.To disablethisfeature,keep the
default,Disabled.Toenablethefeature,selectEnabled.If
youarenotsurewhichsettingtoselect,keepthedefault,
Disabled.
Wildcard This setting enables or disables wildcards
for your host. For example, if your DDNS address is
myplace.dyndns.org and you enable wildcards, then
x.myplace.dyndns.orgwillworkaswell(xisthewildcard).
To disable wildcards, keep the default, Disabled. To
enable wildcards, select Enabled. If you are not sure
whichsettingtoselect,keepthedefault,Disabled.
Internet IP Address The Valet’s Internet IP address is
displayed.Becauseitisdynamic,itwillchangeperiodically.
Status The status of the DDNS service connec tion is
displayed.
Update Tomanuallytriggeranupdate,clickUpdate.
ClickSave Settingstoapplyyourchanges,orclickCancel
Changestoclearyourchanges.
