MACAddress,Status,Interface,andClientName.
SelectSave to MAC Address Filter Listforanydevice
youwanttoaddtotheMACAddressFilterList.Then
clickAdd.
To retrieve the most up-to-date information, click
Refresh.ToexitthisscreenandreturntotheWireless
MAC Filterscreen,clickClose.
MAC 01-50 Enter the MAC addresses of the devices
whosewirelessaccessyouwanttoblockorallow.
ClickSave Settingstoapplyyourchanges,orclickCancel
Changestoclearyourchanges.

ThisAdvanced Wireless Settingsscreenisusedtosetupthe
Valet’sadvancedwirelessfunctions.Thesesettingsshould
onlybeadjustedbyanadvanceduserbecauseincorrect
settingscanreducewirelessperformance.Inmost cases,
keepthedefaultsettings.

AdvancedWireless
AP Isolation Thisisolatesallwirelessclientsandwireless
devicesonyournetworkfromeachother.Wirelessdevices
willbeabletocommunicatewiththeValetbutnotwith
each other. To use this function, select Enabled. AP
Isolationisdisabledbydefault.
Frame Burst Enabling thisoption should provideyour
network with greater performance, depending on the
manufacturerofyourwirelessproducts.Tousethisoption,
keepthedefault,Enabled.Otherwise,selectDisabled.
Authentication Type Thedefaultisset toAuto,which
allowseitherOpenSystemorSharedKeyauthentication
tobeused.WithOpenSystemauthentication,thesender
andtherecipientdoNOTuseaWEPkeyforauthentication.
WithSharedKeyauthentication,thesenderandrecipient
useaWEPkeyforauthentication.SelectShared Keyto
onlyuseSharedKeyauthentication.
Basic Rate TheBasicRatesettingisnotactuallyonerate
oftransmissionbutaseriesofratesatwhichtheValetcan
transmit.TheValetwilladvertiseitsBasicRatetotheother
wireless devices in your network, so they know which
rateswillbeused.TheValetwillalsoadvertisethatitwill
automatically select the best rate for transmission.The
defaultsettingisDefault,fortransmissionatall standard
wirelessrates(1-2Mbps,5.5Mbps,11Mbps,18Mbps,and
24Mbps).Otheroptionsare1-2Mbps,forusewitholder
wirelesstechnology,andAll,whentheValetcantransmit
atallwirelessrates.TheBasicRateisnottheactualrateof
datatransmission.IfyouwanttospecifytheValet’srate
of data transmission, configure the Transmission Rate
setting.
Transmission Rate Therateofdatatransmissionshould
besetdependingonthespeedofyourwirelessnetwork.
Youcanselectfromarangeoftransmissionspeeds,oryou
canselectAutotohavetheValetautomaticallyusethe
fastest possibledata rate andenable the Auto-Fallback
feature. Auto-Fallback will negotiate the best possible
connectionspeedbetweentheValetandawirelessclient.
ThedefaultisAuto.
N Transmission Rate The rate of data transmission
shouldbesetdependingonthespeedofyourWireless-N
networking.Youcanselectfromarangeoftransmission
speeds, or you can select Auto to have the Valet
automaticallyusethefastestpossibledatarateandenable
theAuto-Fallbackfeature.Auto-Fallbackwillnegotiatethe
bestpossibleconnectionspeedbetweentheValetanda
wirelessclient.ThedefaultisAuto.
CTS Protection Mode The Valet will automatically
use CTS (Clear-To-Send) Protection Mode when your
Wireless-N and Wireless-G products are experiencing
severe problems and are not able to transmit to the
Valetinanenvironmentwithheavy802.11btraffic.This
functionbooststheValet’sabilitytocatchallWireless-N
andWireless-G transmissions but willseverelydecrease
performance.ThedefaultisAuto.
