Various lengths of copper and shortwave optical cables are available from Dell. These
cables have been designed and approved by Dell. Dell recommends the use of these
cables to ensure the proper operation of the switch.
Fiber cable connections are made to the switchs front panel using standard dual SC
plug connectors as shown in Figure 1-2.

The connectors are indexed and must be inserted into the GBIC modules connector
in proper alignment. In most cases, one of the two connector plugs is a different color
to aid in proper connector alignment.
