Reboot your system for the installation to take effect.
Note:
To verify that the DLC protocol is installed correctly, check the
list of installed Network Software in the Networks dialog box.
Configuring the printer
Follow these steps to configure the printer:

Select
Print Manager
from the Main group.
Choose
Create Printer
from the printer menu at the top of
the screen. The Create Printer dialog box appears.
Enter a name for the printer in the Printer Name field.
Select the printer driver from the Driver pull-down menu.
Select
Other
from the Print To pull-down menu. The Print
Destination dialog box appears.
Choose
(HP Network Port)
from the Available Print
Destinations list. The Add an HP Network Peripheral Port
dialog box appears.
Note:
If HP Network Port does not appear as a choice in the dialog box,
then the
DLC transport protocol and driver are
not
installed. Go
to the Installation for Windows NT section above for detailed
installation instructions.
Enter a name for the port in the Name box.
Note:
The name must not be identical to an existing port, such as
LPT1, or any other existing DOS device.
