continuous paper to the tear-off edge of the printer. After tearing off the
paper, press the
TEAR OFF
button again to feed the paper backward to the
loading position.
WARNING: Do not use the short tear-off feature when
you print labels. Be sure that the SelecType
AUTO
TECIR
OFF
setting is off. Otherwise, labels may come off the
backing and jam the printer.
The short tear-off feature operated by the
TEAR OFF
button is described
below.
1.
When you have finished printing, press the
TEAR OFF
button once to
feed the perforation of your page forward to the tear-off edge of the
paper guide cover.
2.
Tear off the page using the tear-off edge.
3.
Press the
TEAR OFF
button again to reverse-feed the paper to its
loading position.
If you need to adjust the tear-off position of the perforation to meet the
tear-off edge, use the micro-adjustment feature. The same procedure can
be used regardless of whether you set the tear-off position using
SelecType or with the
TEAR OFF
button.
