HP (Hewlett-Packard) QMS 1660 Printer User Manual

Collation is the printing of multiple copies of a document in numeric
order. The QMS 1660 Print System is collation capable. It can deliver
multiple copies of your files in collated or uncollated order to the out-
put tray.
If not enough memory is available, chunk collation occurs. Chunk col-
lation breaks a print job into several smaller collation sequences,
which must be manually combined to create a single, collated docu-
ment.
See chapter 3, “Advanced Printing Features,” in the
Operation
man-
ual for more information on collation and on improving collation per-
formance on your printer.
While it is usually preferable to select in your application the number
of copies you want to print, you can change the default number of
copies for all print jobs through the printer control panel.
