4. Position the Web Console in the mounting bracket.
5. Connect the DC out cable from the power supply to the Web Console.
6. Connect one end (RJ-45) of the LAN cable, provided, to the LAN port on the secure web console unit.
7. Connect one end of the data/LAN cable to the port labeled Local Console Serial Port on the rp7400 server
Core I/O panel.
CAUTION To prevent unauthorized access to your rp7400 system, do not connect the other end of the
serial cable to the Secure Web Console until both the rp7400 and the Web Console have
both been fully configured.
8. Connect the other end of the power cable into an available plug on a cabinet PDU.
9. Configure the Secure Web Console in accordance with the documentation that was provided with it or
refer to http://eproducts.hp.com/prodinfo/mgmt_console.html
10. Once the Web Console has been properly configured, the remaining end of the serial cable between the
rp7400 server and the Web Console may be connected.
