The monitor utility allows you to check many important aspects of file server
performance. It allows you check resource allocations and utilization of these
resources. For example, you can:

List system modules loaded
•
View memory statistics
•
View tracked resources
•
Check status of LAN drivers and statistics
•
List active connections
•
Clear a connection
•
List open files
•
List record locks
5.2.2.2 Set Command
Use the set command at the file server system console to verify and adjust
parameters of the server. To verify server parameters using the set command:
1. Type
SET at the server system console.
2. Press Enter.
At this point, a full-screen menu appears listing the general category of
parameters to choose from. You can select from the following general
categories of parameters:

Communications
•
Memory
•
File caching
•
Directory caching
•
File system
•
Record locks
•
Transaction tracking
•
Miscellaneous
3. Select the category you wish to check.
