Update Firmware
The firmware can be updated after the Boot PROM has been successfully
updated. Before beginning this procedure, ensure that the TFTP server is
still running and that the files are accessible by the TFTP server.
1 Select Configure management from the main menu, and press Enter.
2 Select Update firmware and configuration files and press Enter.
3 Ensure that the software update mode is set to Network.
4 In the TFTP server address field, type the IP address of the TFTP server
that contains the files you want to update, and press Enter.
5 Press the spacebar to change the Firmware update field to Enabled.
6 Type the filename of the new firmware file in the Firmware file name
field.
7 Ensure that the Config file download field is set to Disabled.
8 Select the REBOOT TO START UPDATE field and press Enter.
Note: Do not interrupt or power off switch during the upgrade process.
Verify firmware update is successful
Once the update process is complete, the switch displays the login screen.
Follow these steps to verify that the firmware update is successful:
1 Log into the switch, and select Configure device.
2 Select Switch settings.
If the upgrade is successful, the following message appears in the middle of
the screen: Firmware version: v2.00.57.
If the firmware version does not match what is listed here, repeat the Update
Firmware process.
