Setting the “Erase” Function
To make copies using an “Erase” setting

Load the document to be copied.
❍ Refer to “Loading the Document” on page 4-1.

Press the [Erase] key until the
indicator for the desired “Erase”
setting lights up.

Do you know how large of an
area is erased?
➜ The width of the erased area for
the “Left”, “Upper” and “Frame”
settings can be set between 1/4
inch (5 mm) and 3/4 inch
(20 mm), in 1 mm (Approx. 1/16
inch) increments. The default
setting is 1/2 inch (10 mm).
➜ The width of the erased area for
the “Center” setting is fixed at
1/2 inch (10 mm).
➜ The width of the erased area for the “Left”, “Upper” and “Frame”
settings can be changed using the “ERASE SETTING” function in
the Utility mode (p. 9-36).

If necessary, specify any other copy settings.

Using the 10-Key Pad, enter the desired number of copies, and then
press the [Start] key.
