Chapter 4 Troubleshooting Procedures
If the unit is not feeding documents properly, perform this procedure:
Turn off your fax machine.1.
Get a soft, lint-free cloth.2.
Moisten the cloths as follows: One of the two cloths with isopropyl alcohol and the other cloth with a 3.
cleaner suitable for use on platen/rubber rollers.
Open the scanner cover by holding the scanner cover release.4.
Use the moistened cloth (see step 2 and 3) to clean the face of rollers. Rotate the rollers by hand to 5.
allow cleaning of the entire roller surface.
Note:
Do not use abrasive materials on the contact glass.
Use the cloth with isopropyl alcohol (see step 1 and 2) to clean the contact glass.6.
Close the scanner cover.7.
