Page Numbering (Page Count)
This feature is called Page Count.
Page number will be printed on the
top of each page, when your fax mes-
sage is received by the other party.
Using the Page Count feature, you
can select the batch-numbering page
numbers.
If you use Page Count, page numbers
will be printed in batch-numbering
format (for example, p1/3, p2/3, and
p3/3 for a three-page message). This
makes it easy for the other party to
see how many pages you sent, and if
any are missing. However, you have
to input the number of pages at the
ten key pad before sending.
If you do not use Page Count, page
numbers will be printed only as a se-
quence (for example, p1, p2, p3). This
makes it difficult for the other party
to tell at a glance whether any pages
are missing (for example, due to a
double feed in your machine's docu-
ment feeder).
Limitation
❒ This feature is available with Im-
mediate Transmission and Parallel
Memory Transmission.
Note
❒ If you select Memory Transmis-
sion, Page Count is automatically
switched on, and the pages are
counted automatically.
❒ If the numbering with page count
appears strange, check that the
page count value matches the
number of pages in your docu-
ment.
