4.2.2. Creating a Profibus-DP Network under SyCon
Select the “New” option from the “F
ile” menu to create a new
configuration, by selecting the “PROFIBUS” network.
This option creates an empty network segment in the SyCon main
window.
In this guide, we shall immediately save this configuration and name
it “LUFP7 - Tutorial Example.pb”.
4.2.3. Selecting and Adding the Profibus-DP Master Station
Select the “Master…” option from
the “Insert” menu (or click on the
button). Move the mouse
pointer (which now looks like a
)
to the position where you want to
add the Profibus-DP master, and
left-click.
Select the “TSX PBY 100” master,
then click “Add >>”. If need be, edit
its address and name.
Once back to the SyCon main window, the selected master appears in the selected insertion position:
