2 Troubleshooting Procedures 2.5 USB FDD Troubleshooting

Procedure 4 Replacement Check
The USB FDD or USB FDD cable may be defective or damaged. Replace it with a new one.
If the USB FDD is still not functioning properly, perform the following.
If USB port 0 does not work properly, perform check 1.
If USB port 5 does not work properly, perform check 3.
If eSATA/USB port does not work properly, perform check 3.
Check 1 SIM/Mini PCI Express board may be faulty. Replace it with a new one following
the steps in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures. If the problem still occurs,
perform Check 2.
Check 2 SIM/Mini PCI Express board FFC may be faulty. Replace it with a new one
following the steps in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures. If the problem still
occurs, perform Check 5.
Check 3 Sound/USB board may be faulty. Replace it with a new one following the steps in
Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures. If the problem still occurs, perform Check 4.
Check 4 Sound/USB board cable may be faulty. Replace it with a new one following the
steps in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures. If the problem still occurs, perform
Check 5.
Check 5 System board may be faulty. Replace it with a new one following the instructions
in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures.
