Minimum Set Time (ms) (p3b) (Available on some
systems) Specifies the minimum time required by the third
party finishing device to process a set.
Time to Cycle Up (ms) (p5) Specifies the amount of
time required by the third party finishing device to obtain
Ready status after receiving a CycleUp signal. You can
specify from 0 to 32767 milliseconds.
Sheet Jam Time (ms) (p2) Specifies the maximum time
that the printer will wait to receive a SheetDelivered signal
from the third party finishing device after sending a
SheetExit signal. A jam is declared when the third party
finishing device signal exceeds the time increment you
specify. You can specify from 0 to 13000 milliseconds.
Set Jam Time (ms) (p4) Specifies the maximum time
that the printer will wait to receive a SetDelivered signal
from the third party finishing device after sending an
EndofSet signal. A jam is declared when the third party
finishing device signal exceeds the time increment you
specify. You can specify from 0 to 13000 milliseconds.
Recovery Control Specifies the action to take in case of
system recovery. You can select one of the following:
Let DFA device select sheet or set recovery
Override - always use set recovery
Finishing Function 1 (Attributes p6/c6)
Finishing Function 2 (Attributes p6/c7) These are
signals through which you can specify instructions to be
sent to your third party finishing device. If these functions
are applicable to your device, your vendor will provide the
information you need to enable them.
For Finishing Functions 1 and 2, your options are:
ESS control: The data stream will select the Finishing
Function.
True: The Finishing Function will always be selected.
False: The Finishing Function will always be
deselected.
SMM Value for Finishing Function 1 (Hex)
SMM Value for Finishing Function 2 (Hex) When the
Set Medium Modification (SMM) value contained in the
IPDS data stream matches the code number you specify
here, the Finishing Function is used.
The codes to use are taken from the two-byte values in the
MMC-structured field within the selected COPYGROUP.
This is set within a FORMDEF via the PROCESSING
keyword in the PPFA. The range is a hexadecimal value
from 0000 to FFFF. You will need to obtain these values
from the job or the applications programmer.
