5 Tap Submit.
To delete a contact:
1 On the Home menu, tap settings.
2 Tap Contacts.
3 Tap the name of the contact you want to delete.
4 Tap Delete.

This section explains optional settings that provide additional security for your NOOK.
Protecting your NOOK with a Pass Code
It is important that you remember your pass code. Write it down somewhere. There
are procedures for getting around a forgotten pass code, but those can entail a call to
Customer Service and/or resetting your NOOK to factory settings, which can result in the
loss of content as explained in “Resetting to Factory Settings” on page 183.
You can require that the person using your NOOK enter a pass code (that is, a password) to do so.
If a pass code is enabled, you would need to enter a password in these cases:
• After your NOOK powers on
• When waking your NOOK from sleep
When your NOOK prompts for the pass code, type it and tap Submit.
This pass code does not need to be the same as the password for your Barnes & Noble
online account (though it can be the same). It is a separate password; changing one does
not change the other.
To enable pass code protection and set your pass code:
1 On the Home menu, tap settings.
2 Tap Device > Enable pass code.
3 Type and confirm your pass code in the form, and then tap Submit.
