ECM
sending
In this
section we
will
show
you
how to
send
a
document.
Your
fax
uses a fully
automatic ECM
(error
correction
mode)
feature
that
reduces
system
and line
errors
while
sending. In
order
to take
advantage
of
ECM,
you
are not required
to
do anything,
but
the
other fax
must
also have
the
ECM feature.
When the
other fax
has the
ECM feature,
your
fax
automatically
switches
to ECM.
When
you
are sending
a document
by ECM,
the
display
shows:
ECM TX
lf
the
other fax
does not
have
ECM,
you
can
still
send a
fax
to it with
any
of the
operations
described in
this
manual.
Even if
you
send
a document
with ECM,
line
errors
occasionally
occur
as a result
of
a bad connection. lf
