1. Replace the tape cartridge and retest.
2. Check and/or replace the signal cable and retest.

4. Replace the tape controller board (135-megabyte tape
backup) and retest.
5. Replace the tape backup and retest.
6. Replace the system board and retest.
12 Tape not servo written.
13 Tape not formatted.
14 Drive timeout error.
15 Sensor error flag.
16 Block locate (block ID) error.
17 Soft error limit exceeded.
18 Hard error limit exceeded.
19 Write (probably ID) error.
20 NEC fatal error.
21 Got servo pulses second time but
not first.
22 Never got to EOT after servo check.
