Crash (PR_3711) — When hot-swapping transceivers multiple times, the switch may crash
with a message similar to:
-> Software exception at port_sm.c:378 in -- 'mPmSlvCtrl'
Link-up polling interval (PR_5000) — A delay of up to 1.7 seconds between plugging in
a cable (linkbeat established) and traffic being forwarded to and from that port may cause
problems with some time sensitive applications. For example, AppleTalk dynamic address
negotiation can be affected, resulting in multiple devices using the same AppleTalk address.
Message buffer leak (PR_5309) — Port online/offline transitions may cause message
buffer depletion and eventually the switch may crash with a message similar to:
-> Software exception at alloc_free.c:353 - in 'mLpmgrCtrl', -> No
msg buffer
Performance (PR_3104) — Slow performance and possible packet loss when switch was
connected to Intel 10/100 NICs.
Performance (PR_3120) — Slow performance over 10 Mbit half-duplex links when switch
is connected to various NICs such as 3COM 3C905B, 3COM 3C590C, D-Link DE-528 and
Lantech PCI-NET/32T.
