3.12 Open API Settings
Select whether or not the interface is open to software with a function for
communicating with the machine. The settings for “Access Setting”, “Port
Number”, “SSL” and “Authentication” for Open API can be changed.

Note
If authentication is performed with PageScope Authentication Manager,
specify the SSL/TLS settings, and then enable the “SSL” of the TCP
Socket and OpenAPI settings.
For details on the TCP Socket settings, refer to “TCP Socket Settings” on
page 4-109.
Access Setting
Select whether or not to permit access from other systems that use Open
API. (The default setting is “Allow”.)
1 Touch [System Connection] in the Administrator Settings screen.

“Displaying the Administrator Settings screen” on page 3-7.
2 Touch [1 Open API Settings] in the System Connection screen.
3 Touch [Access Setting] in the Open API Settings screen.
Buttons for the available settings appear.
4 Touch the button for the desired setting.
– To permit access using Open API, touch [Allow].
– To prohibit access using Open API, touch [Restrict].
