Field
Description
Index: Displays the element index for which the information is
being displayed.
Type: Indicates the type of element: either a cartridge slot, drive,
or robot.
Warning: Displays 0 if there are no failures or errors associated with
this element; or, displays an error code. See Appendix C for
a list of error codes and corrective actions.
Occupied: Indicates whether the specified element contains a cartridge
(1) or not (0).
Valid: Indicates whether the Occupied flag is accurate (1) or is
questionable (0).
Accessible: Indicates if the element is accessible (1) or not (0). If the ele-
ment is a magazine slot, it is accessible if the magazine is
installed. If the element is the tape drive, it is accessible if
the drive is installed in the drive bay and does not contain a
cartridge.
Present: Shows whether the tape drive or magazine is installed
(1) or not (0).
Note: If the element references a slot, this flag indicates
whether the magazine is installed.
Label/Valid: Indicates whether the Label field is valid (1) or not (0).
Label Error: Indicates if the barcode scan was successful (0) or displays
an error condition:
60 – The barcode scanner could not read the barcode label
because there was no label on the cartridge.
61 – The barcode scanner could not read the barcode label
because the label was unreadable.
62 – The barcode scanner could not read the label because
the magazine is not present.
63 – The barcode scanner could not read the label for a sin-
gle slot because the inventory is questionable.
64 – The barcode scanner could not read the label because
of a problem with the checksum character.
67 – The library could not collect barcode data for the fixed
slot because of a firmware or hardware problem.

sent with the last SCSI SEND VOLUME TAG command (1)
or not (0).
