7. LAP Baud Rate [valid test set range]
Enter the value to determine the baud rate that will be used for communications
between the PC and the SERIAL 9 port on the Test Set. Valid rates (bps) are: 150,
300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, and 57600. This setting must match
the setting used by the PC communication software.
8. LAP Data Length [7 or 8]
Enter the selection to determine whether 7 or 8 bits will be used for the data length
for the serial communication data link between the PC and the SERIAL 9 port on the
Test Set. This setting must match the setting used by the PC communication
software.
9. LAP Flow Control [1=None 2=Xon 3=Hw]
Enter the selection to determine the type of data flow control that will be used for the
serial communication data link between the laptop PC and the SERIAL 9 port on the
Test Set. This setting must match the setting used by the PC communication
software.
• If you select 1, the link will use no flow control.
• If you select 2, the link will use Xon/Xoff flow control.
• If you select 3, the link will use hardware flow control. This setting must be used
for baud rates of 38400 and higher.
10. LAP Parity [0=0 1=1 2=none 3=even 4=odd]
Enter the selection to determine the parity style that will be used for communication
between the PC and the SERIAL 9 port on the Test Set.
• If you select 0, a zero parity will be used.
• If you select 1, a ones parity will be used.
• If you select 2, no parity will be used.
• If you select 3, an even parity will be used.
• If you select 4, an odd parity will be used.
11. LAP Stop Length [1 or 2]
Enter the selection to match the PC communication program settings that will be
used for the number of stop bits in communications between the PC and the SERIAL
9 port on the Test Set.
• If you select 1, one stop bit will be used.
• If you select to 2, two stop bits will be used.
