Press the Traffic Generator button. The
Traffic Generator screen will be
displayed. To add security to the use
of the traffic generator, since it may
disrupt your network, you may
configure a password to prevent
someone without the password from
using the traffic generator.
3 On the Parameters tab, configure
the traffic characteristics as you
desire. Press each parameter (Frame
Length, Frame Rate, and so on) and
enter the value you want in the
on-screen keypad. See “Traffic
Generation” on page 158.
4 To inject errors in the generated
traffic, press the check box for the
type of error you want (CRC, short
frame, or long frame). See “Traffic
Generation” on page 158.
5 To configure the frame
characteristics of the traffic, press
the Frame tab.
