Select the port to be enabled or disabled by
typing s, entering the port’s number, and
pressing Return.

Type e to toggle the port’s connection to
enabled or disabled, as desired.
The port’s status is changed. The new status
is displayed at the top of the screen next to
Port Status:.
Configuring Duplex Mode
Full duplex mode allows a port to transmit and receive at
the same time.
▲ Important! To use full duplex mode, the
device to which the port is connected must sup-
port and be configured for full duplex mode.
∆ Note: To configure a port for duplex mode,
first disable auto-negotiation, as described in
the next section.

Open the Port Management Menu by typing
p on the Configuration Menu.

Select the port to be configured for full
duplex mode by typing s, entering the port’s
number, and pressing Return.

Type d to toggle the port’s duplex mode half to
full, or full to half.
The port’s mode is changed and is displayed
at the top of the screen next to Link Status.
