Verify settings in Control
Panel. Make sure parity,
speed, word length, and stop
bits match on sending and
receiving modems.
Disable error correction and
data compression.

Modem doesn’t fax. If using fax Class 2 in fax
software, try Class 1.
Close any other
communications programs.
If faxing by printing from
application, make sure fax
printer is selected.
Turn off power management
features temporarily.
General problems. If serial or PC card modem is
not working, disable internal
modem in Control Panel.

driver from technical support

site (see page vi).
