Hexadecimal dump
This feature is usefulfor programmerswho are debuggingprintingpro-
grams and want to see the actual codes the printer is receiving.(Some
computemchangethe codesthe programmerintended.)
Inthismode,alldatareceivedwillbeprintedinahexadecimaldumpformat,
ratherthanthecontrolcodesbeingactedon as commandcodes.
Thismodeis accessedwiththe followingprocedure:
1. Whileholdingboth
the(PAPER FEED)and(
SEJAE~~CT
)buttons down,
turnpowerON.A beeptonewillbeheard.
2. Beginprinting.In placeof the usualprintoutyouwill get a formatted
dumpshowingexactlywhatdatatheprinterreceives.Eachlinepresents
sixteencharacters,theirhexadecimalcodestotheleftandprintablechar-
actersprintedon the right.
3. At the end of the hexadecimaldump,set the printer off-line with the
(
ON
LINE
)
button.Thisis necessaryto printthelastline.
ThefollowingBASICprogramis a simpletest youcanrunin hexadecimal
mode:

If your systempasses the codes directlyto the printer withoutchanging
