Onreceivingthefirstpacketcontainingaprogramclockreference(PCR)header,theDSPwritesthe
most-significantbit(MSB)ofthePCRandthe9-bitPCRextensionintoTCICLKINITM.Thisinitializesthe
countertothesystemtimeclock.TCICLKINITMshouldalsobeupdatedbytheDSPwhenevera
discontinuityinthePCRfieldisdetected.
Toensuresynchronizationandpreventfalsecomparedetection,thesoftwareshoulddisablethesystem
timeclockinterrupt(cleartheSTENbitinTCICTL)priortowritingtoTCICLKINITM.Allbitsofthesystem
timecounterareinitializedwhenevereitherTCICLKINITLorTCICLKINITMarewritten.
