How to Set Image Density
Set the exposure according to the contrast of the original that you are sending.
There are two ways of selecting image density: by the automatic image density mode or the manual
image density mode.
- In the automatic image density mode, the digital copier automatically judges the contrast of the
original, and selects the ideal contrast.
- In the manual image density mode, you can adjust the contrast manually in 7 stages.
If you are sending a dark original, press the
key to lighten the contrast, and if you are sending a
light original, press the
key to darken it.
If you do not set the contrast mode, the original is sent at the contrast adjustment value preset in the
transmission mode setting. (
See page 4-24.)
Values set here are valid for only one transmission.
