5. MULTI-ADDRESS TRANSMISSION (BROADCASTING)
• The “multi-address transmission” function allows you to send the same original to two or more remote
FAXes in a single operation. This eliminates the trouble of placing the original in the copier and then
dialing the number for each destination. You can set multi-address transmission only in the memory
TX mode. There are two different types of multi-address transmissions: Multi-key Quick Broadcast
transmission and Group Broadcast transmission.
• Multi-key Quick Broadcast transmission: This is a means of specifying multiple remote FAXes using
the Speed Dial, One Touch key, and digital keys whenever you want to send an original. Up to 475
destinations can be assigned to an Individual multi-address transmission. Up to 100 destinations can
be assigned when the destinations are assigned using only the Digital keys.
• Group Broadcast transmission: This is a means of pre-entering remote FAXes that you often send the
same original to as a group, and specifying this group when you want to send an original. For details
on how to program groups, see “Group Number Registration.” (

number of destinations per group is as follows:
• Maximum number of destinations per group: 375
• Maximum number of groups: 50

Enter the remote FAX number.

• Repeat this step until the facsimile numbers of all the desired
remote parties are enter.
• When the facsimile numbers of all the desired remote parties

• To delete or modify a facsimile number already programmed
to a Manual Group Dial, go to step 6.
