Configuration and Calibration LCD Displays
ZPL MODE
Selecting ZPL Mode
The printer remains in the selected mode until it is changed by this front panel
instruction or by using a ZPL/ZPL II command. The printer accepts label formats
written in either ZPL or ZPL II. This eliminates the need to rewrite any ZPL formats
you already have. See the ZPL II Programming Guide Volume II for more information
on the differences between ZPL and ZPL II.
Default: ZPL II
Selections: ZPL II, ZPL
1. Press SELECT to select the parameter.
2. Press PLUS (+) or MINUS (–) to display other choices.
3. Press SELECT to accept any changes and deselect the parameter.
MEDIA POWER UP
Media Power Up
Establishes the action of the media when the printer is turned on.
Default: CALIBRATION
Selections:
• CALIBRATION: Recalibrates the media and ribbon sensors.
• LENGTH: Determines the length of the label.
• NO MOTION: Media does not move.
• FEED: Feeds the label to the first web.
1. Press SELECT to select the parameter.
2. Press PLUS (+) or MINUS (–) to display other choices.
3. Press SELECT to accept any changes and deselect the parameter.
HEAD CLOSE
Head Close
Determines the action of the media after the printhead has been opened and then closed.
Default: Calibration
Selections:
• CALIBRATION: Recalibrates the media and ribbon sensors.
• LENGTH: Determines the length of the label.
• NO MOTION: Media does not move.
• FEED: Feeds the label to the first web.
