1-3 Stages of installation on the network
Summary of GA-1040 network installation
NETWORK SERVER
CLIENT SETUP
At each workstation that will print to the
GA-1040:
• Install the appropriate printer drivers,
and connect to one or more queues.
• For computers that will use the
Fiery WebTools, install an Internet
browser.
• Verify the GA-1040 in the list of printers
and run a test print.
CONNECTION
GA-1040 available on the network
Network server
e-STUDIO 45 series
Prepare a network node. Connect the
GA-1040 to the network.
Configure Windows NT and Netware (Novell)
servers to specify GA-1040 print queues and
GA-1040 users.
Install printer files on the server.
Mac OS computers support only the
PostScript features of the GA-1040.
No special configuration of AppleShare
servers is required.
On the GA-1040 Touch Panel Display,
configure Server Setup, Network Setup,
Printer Setup, PS Setup, PCL Setup, and
Job Log Setup.
