QLS-4100 X 50
Cutter Flag
When using an optional Cutter/Stacker accessory, it is possible to enable or dis-
able the insertion of extra blank tags to demarcate or flag the end of a batch.
When enabled, the printer will automatically insert one long and one short blank
tag between batches. The longer tag is approximately 10 mm longer than the
printed tag length. This extra length will allow you to quickly identify separate
batches. With the flag enabled, the minimum tag length is 38 mm.
To enable the cutter flag:
Ensure that the cutter unit is powered off.
Press the NEXT or PREVIOUS key until the Cutter Flag menu is displayed.
Press the + or - key to select Flag On to enable the flag.
Press the SELECT key to confirm your choice.
Note
Do not select Append Flag or Set as Flag in Color QuickLabel 99 Pro if
the flag is enabled via the front panel.
Note
The flag is counted as a batch of two tags (the long and the short tag). If
the batch counter is enabled, the flag will appear as a batch of two labels
printing; if the total counter is enabled, the flag is counted as two
additional tags.
Note
The Cutter Flag option is not available when using the QLS Windows
Printer Driver. Since batches cannot be queued when using the driver,
there will always be a leader of media cut between batches.
