Adjustments
Your QLS-4100 X has been carefully set at the factory to print optimally using your
specific type of media and ribbon. This chapter describes how to perform ad-
vanced adjustments that may be needed when specialized media is used in the
printer.
This chapter explains how to:
• Adjust the printhead alignment relative to the platen roll to optimize ribbon
transfer for different material types or thicknesses.
• Adjust the angularity of the printheads with respect to each other so that color
alignment is consistent across the width of the media.
• Adjust the thermal transfer ribbon tension to alleviate wrinkling or smudging.
• Adjust the Printhead Lift Screw to redistribute printhead downward pressure
when using narrow media.
• Set the System Baseline so that print jobs sent to multiple printers result in
identical image positioning on the label.
