QLS-4100 X 64
TTR Drop
The QLS-4100 X is equipped with QuickLabel Systems’ patented RibbonRation
technology. This feature automatically determines when to enable or disable each
of the four print stations thus consuming thermal transfer ribbon only when a
particular color is needed.
The TTR Drop function enables you to fine tune the point at which a printhead will
drop for printing of a subsequent color. In some applications, dropping the printhead
earlier results in smoother color application and reduces the tendency for film
wrinkle.
Note
In most cases, the default drop values will be optimal. However, if film
wrinkling seems excessive, use the following procedure to change the
drop point of the corresponding print station.
Press the PRINT/PAUSE key until the printer is in the paused state.
Press the NEXT or PREVIOUS key until the TTR Drop menu is displayed.
Press the NEXT or PREVIOUS key to select the station in need of adjustment.
When the station requiring adjustment is displayed, press the + or - key to change
the setting for the selected print station. The value range is 0 to 40 mm; the
default value is 22. Increasing this value will cause the printhead to drop sooner,
decreasing this value will cause the printhead to drop later.
Any changes will take effect only after a new label is sent, or if the Windows Print
function is invoked.
